About Woldingham School

Woldingham is a leading independent boarding and day school, set in 700 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside.  In January 2018, it was awarded the top band ‘excellent’ in all areas by the Independent Schools Inspectorate.

A Catholic school which welcomes girls from all faiths and none, a sense of community is deeply ingrained at Woldingham and pastoral care is widely regarded as exceptional. Girls grow into confident, compassionate and courageous young women who achieve academic success and become positive influences in the world.

Examination results are consistently excellent, with the majority of students going to Russell Group universities, including Oxbridge. A top performing school for ‘value added’, girls typically achieve a grade higher at GCSE than their potential identified at the time of joining.

Pastoral care is widely regarded as exceptional. The unique THRIVE programme is embedded throughout the curriculum and Mindfulness sessions are available to all on a weekly basis.

Music and drama at Woldingham are dynamic and well-resourced, providing many and varied opportunities for pupils to perform, not least in the school’s 600-seat auditorium. Sports coaches are experts in their field and include a hockey Olympian.

Girls participate enthusiastically in a wide range of sporting, social, cultural and intellectual clubs.  With over 80 co-curricular activities on offer in any week – ranging from Mountain Biking to Medics Club and Mandarin - there is plenty to choose from.

Fees for direct entry into the Sixth Form will carry a premium of £500 per term for boarders and £250 per term for day pupils.
