About Queen Elizabeth's Hospital Junior School
Pupils travel to the school from across the region and there is a hub for public transport on the nearby Clifton Triangle. The school also offers timed parking facilities for parents in the adjacent West End multi-storey car park, to pick up and drop off pupils, at no extra cost. As part of the only all-boys’ school in the city, QEH Juniors is unique in Bristol. Being small, it focuses on the individual, fostering a love of learning whilst nurturing the interests and talents of each boy. In addition there is a wealth of extra-curricular activities available. The school is a happy place with strong pastoral care, academic excellence, and high standards where the educational experience is designed to be relevant and meaningful for every single child. Each boy leaves recognising himself as a lifelong learner. There is one class per Year group until Year 5 and Year 6 when there are two classes, each with a maximum of 22 pupils. Offers of places are subject to an entrance examination. Boys can therefore enter in Year 3 or Year 5 though places occasionally become available in other Years. Boys are expected to move into the Main School at 11. (See QEH entry in HMC section.)
Scholarships & Bursaries
Two scholarships are available for Year 3 entry and these are awarded on academic performance.
