About Birchfield School

Birchfield School is an independent co-educational preparatory school for pupils aged between 4 and 13. An impressive academic record, weekly boarding, sporting successes, a fine musical reputation and an excellent Learning Enhancement team are just some of the reasons why you should visit Birchfield when thinking about independent education for your children. Birchfield has no entrance examination and the School has an excellent reputation for getting pupils into their first-choice senior schools at 11+ and 13+. Birchfield has no path beaten to any particular senior school, instead it works with parents and offers help and guidance to find the best school for each individual child. Birchfield Prepcare, the day care facility for children aged from 6 weeks to 4 years old (managed by Prepcare LLP) is adjacent to the school. This allows the opportunity for continuity of education on one site from 0 to 13. Set in acres of beautiful Shropshire countryside Birchfield is close to the village of Albrighton, yet with excellent transport links from both Telford and Wolverhampton, being only a few minutes from the A41 and Junction 3 of the M54. If you want the best for your child in this ever-competitive and dynamic world, Birchfield extends a warm welcome to you. There are Open Days each term, check the website (www.birchfieldschool.co.uk) for the upcoming date. Alternatively call the school office on 01902 372534 or email office@birchfieldschool.co.uk for an information pack or to book an appointment.

Fees

Birchfield is a fee-paying school run by the Birchfield Educational Trust Limited, which is a registered charity. Our fee structure is regularly reviewed by the Board to ensure it is commensurate with the leading education experience we offer.

Our fee structure affords parents flexibility and is tailored to the wide range of services we offer, whether that be boarding, learning enhancement, school clubs or the many supervised trips.

Our first priority is to establish whether Birchfield is the right fit for your child. The Headmistress will be delighted to talk you through all the details when she meets with you personally.

For outstanding candidates we offer Scholarships and Awards.

Scholarships & Bursaries

Means tested bursaries are available in some circumstances.  For further information, please contact the Headmistress or the Bursar.

Admissions Process

We welcome new pupils at any stage and during any term.  There is no entrance examination, although pupils are invited to join us for a taster day; during which they will be assessed.

If you would like to have a personal tour or require an admissions pack, please ring Mrs Deborah Frost, Marketing Manager, on 01902 372534.
