About Holme Grange School
Holme Grange School is an independent preparatory school for girls and boys aged 3-16 years. We offer a unique educational experience in an idyllic setting in 21 acres of Wokingham countryside. Each pupil can thrive in an environment offering a wide variety of opportunities in the classroom, on the stage or sports field and in the outdoor woodland learning areas. Parents describe the schools as caring, friendly and warm, which highlights the strong pastoral support and sense of community. Academic standards are excellent. When a child leaves the school, they will be well-prepared for the world – self-confident, sociable and articulate and will have many special memories of their time at Holme Grange. Children join the school at three, four, seven, and 11years of age. Each class has up to 18 pupils, with two classes for each year group. Entry outside of the usual starting time is dependent on a space being available. The ethos throughout the school is one of warmth and friendliness and this begins in Little Grange. Pupils are enthusiastic and focused and the environment purposeful and energetic where children regard learning as fun. The school believes your child’s happiness, security and, indeed, future are based on the choices made for them in the early years and the school’s main aim is to enable every child to thrive through experiencing an ethos of support, to be challenged and encouraged to succeed. Holme Grange provides a stimulating environment with innovative teaching and an investigative approach to learning. The school hopes that you will visit it and meet the staff and children. It looks forward to welcoming you to see all that the school has to offer.
