Highfield & Brookham Schools are charming country Prep and Pre-prep schools offering an exceptional, all round educational experience for children aged 3 to 13. Set within 175 acres of stunning grounds on the borders of Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex, the schools have a great balance of boys and girls, day and boarding.

Highfield enjoys outstanding academic success and has been preparing pupils for the top senior schools in England for more than a century. They have a flawless track record for securing every child’s place at their first choice senior school, and an excellent Scholarship success rate.

Above all, the pupils are happy and fulfilled. There are fields and woodlands to explore and build camps in, and trees to climb. It’s a place where children really can still be children.

Admissions Process

Parents are invited to register their children at any stage, but as availability of places in all year groups is very limited, we strongly recommend registration at the earliest opportunity. All registered children are invited for an Assessment Morning in the November prior to entry, this takes the form of age appropriate standardised NFER Assessments in Reading, Spelling and Mathematics. Highfield is non-selective and takes pupils with a broad range of ability which we believe is an essential element of the School’s strength and gives it its great character and atmosphere.

Children who join Brookham Pre-Prep are automatically registered for Highfield and will move on to Highfield in Year 4 at age 8+ if appropriate. There is extremely close liaison between the two schools at all times and at all levels. It is for this reason that it is unnecessary for Brookham children to take a formal Assessment for entry to Highfield.
